Safety is our foremost priority at Green Construction, superseding all other activities. We are unwavering in our commitment to ensuring that no work we undertake poses any danger to our employees, contractors, or any third parties present within our work areas. Every member of the Green Construction team is dedicated to instilling a culture of safety into every project we undertake.
To achieve this paramount objective, our teams employ the right processes, tools, and training. Each workday commences with a comprehensive toolbox talk, during which our employees receive a clear understanding of their daily tasks, roles, responsibilities, and directives. We solidify our commitment to safety by adhering to specific safe job practices, which include conducting thorough job hazard assessments (JHAs) and following pre-written procedures for routine tasks. Each worker affirms their agreement with and understanding of these procedures and precautions by signing the requisite forms.
We believe in the collective responsibility to mitigate risks and prevent unsafe actions. Our team maintains a culture of respect and collaborative effort, with more experienced members actively sharing knowledge and mentoring their junior counterparts.
Our safety department enforces the following policies, mandating compliance from all team members:
- Ensure that all workers are informed about anticipated risks and the corresponding control measures before commencing any task, and provide the necessary training for task execution.
- Identify, assess, and continually control risks throughout the construction process.
- Foster constant communication to maintain a safe job site, including implementing a buddy system.
- Enforce the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
- Prior to operation, equipment operators conduct thorough walk-around checks of each piece of equipment and complete pre-trip inspection reports. These reports are submitted daily to management to monitor safety and performance issues.
- Implement fall protection measures, such as railings, covering gaps and holes, and safety nets. Identify fragile and weak areas within structures and mark or cordon them off to ensure worker awareness and avoidance.
